MENTORING
in the field
2 hrs - 1 hour hands-on shoot + 1 hour debrief

Think of this as the in-person, hands-on version of Spark - everything we’d cover on Zoom, but with your camera in your hands and me right beside you. It’s the perfect step before shadowing a client session.

We’ll start at a coffee shop to go over your camera, settings, and any questions you have. Then we’ll head outside so I can walk you through how I find light, choose settings, and shoot with confidence. You’ll get real-time guidance as you practice, plus help with camera setup, lighting decisions, and directing.

Afterward, we’ll sit down to debrief and talk through your shooting, workflow, and client experience.

the shadow

This session is for photographers who are ready to see everything come together in real time. You’ll shadow me during a live client session — observing how I communicate, adapt to lighting, guide clients, and manage the flow of a shoot from start to finish.

It’s perfect for those who’ve completed The Spark Session and The Field Guide and want to complete their mentorship journey — but it’s also open to experienced or intermediate photographers who are looking to be creatively pushed and gain insight into a refined, real-world workflow.

We’ll finish with a debrief and Q&A to talk through everything you observed and learned.
